  12.      _N_e_t_g_r_o_u_p defines network-wide groups, used for permission checking when
  13.      doing remote mounts, remote logins, and remote shells.  For remote
  14.      mounts, the information in _n_e_t_g_r_o_u_p is used to classify machines; for
  15.      remote logins and remote shells, it is used to classify users.  Each line
  16.      of the _n_e_t_g_r_o_u_p file defines a group and has the format
  17.  
  18.            groupname member1 member2 ....

  20.      where member_i is either another group name, or a triple:

  22.            (hostname, username, domainname)

  24.            hostname:       The ``preferred'' name of the client host, the host
  25.                            from which the _r_l_o_g_i_n(1C) or _r_s_h(1C) command is
  26.                            invoked.  Note that the preferred name is the first
  27.                            name given to that host in the /_e_t_c/_h_o_s_t_s file.
  28.                            The second and later names are the _a_l_i_a_s_e_s for that
  29.                            preferred name.  The preferred name is commonly the
  30.                            fully-qualified ``domain-style'' name.

  32.            username:       This is the simple user name string.

  34.            domainname:     This is the name of the domain of the _s_e_r_v_e_r
  35.                            system, not the client system.

  37.      Any of three fields can be empty, in which case it signifies a wild card.

  52.      the group _j_u_s_t_p_e_o_p_l_e in the domain _s_u_n, but no machines belong to it.

  55.      The netgroup data is used only when the nnnnssssdddd((((1111MMMM)))) daemon is running.  It is
  56.      supported in any of the protocol libraries included with Irix, but only
  57.      one protocol may be used.  Listing multiple protocols on the netgroups
  58.      line in nnnnsssssssswwwwiiiittttcccchhhh....ccccoooonnnnffff((((4444)))) is not well defined.
